Terms & Conditions

1. About Shand Travel

Shand Travel is a boutique travel agent specialising in tailor-made holidays. We provide personalised travel planning, itinerary design and booking management services, supported by our partnership with Travel Four Seasons.

Shand Travel is not a tour operator.

2. Minimum Investment & Planning Fees

Shand Travel specialises in tailor-made holidays with a minimum trip investment of £5,000.00, based on two adults travelling.

A planning fee applies, charged on a POA basis, typically starting from £250.00, depending on the complexity of the itinerary and the numbers of passengers.

This fee reflects:

  • Professional expertise and strategic itinerary design

  • First-hand destination knowledge

  • Trusted global supplier relationships

  • Significant time investment prior to any booking being made

The planning fee is non-refundable.

When a client provides confirmed travel requirements and requests booking management only, the planning fee is waived.

3. Role of Travel Four Seasons

Shand Travel operates as an independent affiliate of Travel Four Seasons, a UK-registered company providing booking infrastructure and financial protection.

All bookings are made via Travel Four Seasons, and all payments are processed through them. The contractual relationship for travel services exists between the client and Travel Four Seasons and/or the relevant travel suppliers.

4. Booking Conditions

Booking conditions are governed by Travel Four Seasons’ Booking Conditions, which apply depending on whether Travel Four Seasons acts as:

  1. Package Organiser

  2. Booking Agent

  3. Agent for a single travel service

These conditions cover:

  • Payments and deposits

  • Cancellations and amendments

  • Supplier liability

  • Force majeure events

  • Insurance requirements

  • Complaints procedures

  • Financial protection

Clients confirm acceptance of these conditions prior to booking.

5. Payments

Payment schedules, deposits and final balances are determined by Travel Four Seasons and the relevant suppliers. Failure to meet payment deadlines may result in cancellation and applicable charges.

6. Changes & Cancellations

All amendments and cancellations are subject to:

  • Supplier terms

  • Travel Four Seasons’ booking conditions

  • Applicable administrative fees

Cancellation charges may be up to 100% of the holiday cost, depending on timing and supplier policies.

7. Travel Insurance

Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory and must be in place from the point of booking.

8. Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for:

  • Passport, visa and health requirements

  • Accurate personal information

  • Behaviour during travel

  • Compliance with local laws and supplier rules

Failure to meet these responsibilities may result in denied services with no entitlement to refund.

9. Complaints

Any issues during travel must be raised immediately with the relevant supplier and escalated via Shand Travel where applicable.

Complaints relating specifically to Shand Travel’s advisory or booking service should be submitted in writing to admin@shandtravel.com within 28 days of return.

10. Liability

Shand Travel’s liability is limited to the advisory and booking services we provide. Responsibility for the delivery of travel services lies with suppliers and/or Travel Four Seasons, subject to their booking conditions.

11. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by English law, with disputes subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
