Discovery & Planning is a paid, professional service, undertaken on a transparent POA planning fee basis, starting from £250.00 per trip.
This stage allows us to invest the time and expertise required to truly understand how you like to travel and to design a holiday that is entirely bespoke, before any booking decisions are made.
We begin with a focused consultation by phone, video call or in person. We listen carefully, ask the right questions and take the time to understand your preferences, priorities, pace, budget and expectations.
Once your requirements are clear, we curate a tailored itinerary designed exclusively for you. There are no templates or off-the-shelf solutions, every detail is well-considered and refined.
This service can also be undertaken as a standalone planning option, ideal for clients who wish to book their own travel but value expert guidance and reassurance.
Key Considerations:
When a client already has clearly defined requirements and simply requires booking management and ongoing support, the planning fee is waived.
Shand Travel specialises in tailor-made holidays with a minimum trip investment of £3’000.00 for short-haul trips, and £5,000.00 for long haul, based on two adults travelling. This is outlined at the outset to ensure complete transparency.

Once your itinerary is agreed, we move seamlessly into Booking & Ongoing Support, managing every detail from confirmation to your return home.
We secure all arrangements through trusted partners, handle payments clearly and securely, and provide full ATOL or TTA protection where applicable. A 10% deposit is usually required for bookings made more than 90 days before travel, although some suppliers may request more.
You receive a personalised digital travel pack with organised, easy‑to‑follow documentation. Every detail is professionally managed, giving you complete peace of mind.
We remain on hand as your departure approaches, answering questions, refining final details and offering practical advice. While you’re travelling, we monitor your arrangements discreetly and can provide optional in‑trip check‑ins. After you return, we follow up to gather feedback and support future planning.

Shand Travel offers Travel Trust Association (TTA) protection, providing 100% financial protection and complete peace of mind. Your money is fully safeguarded, your arrangements are expertly managed, and every detail is handled with care and professionalism from the moment you book.
For any ATOL-protected flight or flight-inclusive holiday, you will receive an ATOL Certificate, clearly outlining exactly what is covered (from flights and accommodation to car hire and additional services) along with guidance on who to contact in the unlikely event of an issue.
